The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Monitor Huáscar getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Benigno Torne hit a great ball. Humberto Sagasti's late challenge caught a ForestFire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Humberto Sagasti helped the player get up and apologised. Sherwood Stjohn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Molino, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Bidari Ansola took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sherwood Stjohn. Sherwood Stjohn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Peterson in the 14th minute of play forced Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper Ferman Basabe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Monitor Huáscar's Bidari Ansola slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sherwood Stjohn. That made the score 2-0 after 15 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Jonathan Molino put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sherwood Stjohn. The supporters of Monitor Huáscar booed when ForestFire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephan Nava didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Rivadeneyra-Gamonal was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Sherwood Stjohn made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Bidari Ansola sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Sherwood Stjohn managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Monitor Huáscar's Bidari Ansola fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Whitney Pelletier hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Bidari Ansola struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Sherwood Stjohn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monitor Huáscar. After 39 played minutes ForestFire got a freekick which was hit by Cyrus Keys. David-Adriano Rivadeneyra-Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sherwood Stjohn having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Lewis Light had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferman Basabe. Monitor Huáscar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lewis Light was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bidari Ansola to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Molino in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sherwood Stjohn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cyrus Keys charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cyrus Keys the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cyrus Keys hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The supporters of Monitor Huáscar booed when ForestFire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Chester didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monitor Huáscar's Maurin Gallinal was substituted for Humberto Sagasti. Monitor Huáscar made a substitution. Leizarraga Ergueta replaced Dani Oro. After a rather tough play, ForestFire's Max Hawthorne got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Monitor Huáscar booed when ForestFire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Whitney Pelletier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sherwood Stjohn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bidari Ansola went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Monitor Huáscar's Turi Larrategui was substituted for David-Adriano Rivadeneyra-Salgado. With a little luck, Monitor Huáscar's Ferman Basabe got control of the ball when Enrique Peterson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Monitor Huáscar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turi Larrategui to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Monitor Huáscar getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Leizarraga Ergueta hit a great ball. After 89 played minutes Monitor Huáscar got a freekick which was hit by Maurin Gallinal. 91 minutes into the match, Whitney Pelletier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferman Basabe. Monitor Huáscar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Whitney Pelletier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. In the 94th minute Bidari Ansola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sherwood Stjohn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ForestFire's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Monitor Huáscar had won, even though ForestFire had held more of the ball.
