After 4 played minutes, Atunes De Margarita FC⚽️'s Lop Barros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Washington Aguerre came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atunes De Margarita FC⚽️ reached it. Huly Sayago charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Huly Sayago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Huly Sayago got a free kick in the 8th minute. Washington Aguerre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atauri Sanabria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Huly Sayago was shown his second yellow card after 23 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Huly Sayago kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Bahiano Montemiuño made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Lluterio Mendibuey sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartoleme Sarro in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bahiano Montemiuño prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marco Sorribes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Washington Aguerre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atauri Sanabria to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Lluterio Mendibuey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bartoleme Sarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Bartoleme Sarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Washington Aguerre got control of the ball when Vidal Navarrete tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Bartoleme Sarro got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atauri Sanabria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lluterio Mendibuey struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Bahiano Montemiuño didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Peñarol FIFV. After a defensive mix-up in Atunes De Margarita FC⚽️'s zone, Denis Mateo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bahiano Montemiuño came out of the goal and Denis Mateo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bartoleme Sarro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bahiano Montemiuño read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damián Macaluso to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute of the match Lop Barros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Washington Aguerre skillfully saved the ball. Washington Aguerre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabrio Gallerreta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Deportivo Peñarol FIFV lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
