The tension between the Golden Dragón F.C and the Deportivo Peñarol FIFV players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Deportivo Peñarol FIFV booed when Golden Dragón F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toli Bailina didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes Deportivo Peñarol FIFV got a freekick which was hit by Gipuzkoa Hiriart. 8 minutes into the match, Severino Borniquell notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Washington Aguerre. Washington Aguerre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Golden Dragón F.C's Josu Mendibuey got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hibai Viniegra's late challenge caught a Golden Dragón F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hibai Viniegra helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Deportivo Peñarol FIFV getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Hibai Viniegra hit a great ball. Golden Dragón F.C's Basilio Colomes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Dragón F.C from getting a goal against them. Marcelo Zalayeta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Basilio Colomes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A very nice done corner allowed Gipuzkoa Hiriart to score against Basilio Colomes in Golden Dragón F.C's goal. 1-1 after 20 minutes. In the 25th match minute, Golden Dragón F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominguez Guitian to maneuver through the defense. Basilio Colomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Caravantes in the 30th minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Deportivo Peñarol FIFV got a freekick which was hit by Huly Sayago. When Victorino Caravantes fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's protests and gave Victorino Caravantes a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Golden Dragón F.C got a freekick which was hit by Bernebe Balerdi. Marcelo Zalayeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Zalayeta made a kick off. The supporters of Golden Dragón F.C booed when Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lluterio Mendibuey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Washington Aguerre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paskal Panguision, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Zalayeta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basilio Colomes was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Golden Dragón F.C's Fe Montealegre was substituted for Dominguez Guitian. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Caravantes in the 65th minute of play forced Golden Dragón F.C's goalkeeper Basilio Colomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Zalayeta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Golden Dragón F.C getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Prospero Rasa hit a great ball. Victorino Caravantes scored 2-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basilio Colomes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Basilio Colomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Merexildo Contero in the 94th minute of the match. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Golden Dragón F.C for a fine match.
