In the 4th minute, Nicodemo Abastas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute, Eustacio Delgado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Abar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gabriel Sologuren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Goyo Abello in the 14th minute of play. After 15 minutes of play, General Velásquez's Alarico Laso de la Vega made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Abar was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the match Eustacio Delgado climbed in front of goal and pressed up 3-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Gabriel Abar. After 22 minutes, Nicodemo Abastas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Munat Tayka and the General Velásquez players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Munat Tayka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicodemo Abastas to maneuver through the defense. Delfino Mac Rostie charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delfino Mac Rostie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Munat Tayka booed when General Velásquez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfino Mac Rostie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Sologuren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Abellaneda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Munat Tayka getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Felippe Abecia hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Munat Tayka's Nicodemo Abastas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nicodemo Abastas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Munat Tayka protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nicodemo Abastas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. General Velásquez's Sarracino Owen got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. General Velásquez's Gustavo Chacaltana shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Gabriel Abar but with some difficulty. Horacio Unzaga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Abar having to make a save. The supporters of General Velásquez booed when Munat Tayka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felippe Abecia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pere Sáenz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Gabriel Abar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gabriel Abar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Avalos, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Munat Tayka's Felippe Abecia got a free kick in the 45th minute. Gabriel Abar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pere Sáenz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pere Sáenz to strike the kick off in the second half. Pere Sáenz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Abar came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by General Velásquez's Eustacio Delgado. But to his dismay, Eustacio Delgado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 59thth minute of the game Carmelo Avalos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Munat Tayka's Gabriel Abar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eustacio Delgado kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. General Velásquez made a substitution. Miquel Jaña replaced Alarico Laso de la Vega. A collision led to General Velásquez getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Eustacio Delgado hit a great ball. Gabriel Abar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pere Sáenz in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Carmelo Avalos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Abar was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cucao Abendano during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Munat Tayka getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Cucao Abendano hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Munat Tayka's zone, Pere Sáenz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Abar came out of the goal and Pere Sáenz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel Abar didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when General Velásquez's Pere Sáenz shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 7-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Gabriel Abar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pere Sáenz, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 82 minutes into the game, General Velásquez's Carmelo Avalos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Abar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. After a rather tough play, Munat Tayka's Goyo Abello got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 90 played minutes, General Velásquez's Sarracino Owen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gabriel Abar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in General Velásquez reached it. In the 95th minute Miquel Jaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Abar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. General Velásquez walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
