An unexpectedly hard shot by Hibai Viniegra in the 7th minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Lore Abajas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Teobaldo Abello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandro Herreria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of River CBBA booed when Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lluterio Mendibuey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Arnaldo Abel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River CBBA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Abel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. River CBBA's Guillermo Abaurre was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 27th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Magdaleno Abadie in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Hibai Viniegra. In the 42nd minute, Guillermo Abaurre made a precise shot to the right of Alexandro Herreria. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0.

Josu Mori kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Deportivo Peñarol FIFV got a freekick which was hit by Victorino Caravantes. 82 minutes into the match, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Abello came free, but Alexandro Herreria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josu Mori to maneuver through the defense. When Guillermo Abaurre came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the River CBBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Abaurre couldn't finish the play. Victorino Caravantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Lore Abajas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
