In the 17th minute Severiano Soler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juste Reynolds saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Rudy Cherry took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ursino Canío to make any attempt to save it. After 40 minutes, Silvino Pretot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nibiru X and the Varennes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes Nibiru X got a freekick which was hit by Silvino Pretot. After 44 minutes, Estevan Mascayano mouthed his way into the referee's book. Ursino Canío had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Lyman Peacock's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Filipo Word hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Severiano Soler got free with Juste Reynolds in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Severiano Soler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nibiru X made a substitution. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Valiente Solabarrieta took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Juste Reynolds to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Varennes had won after a very even match.
