Saul Villegas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Juste Reynolds skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 27th minute Rudy Cherry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Huetar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jason Thome couldn't finish the play. Saul Villegas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Juste Reynolds when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, Rudy Cherry had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Huetar. SAPRIMECKBEL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rudy Cherry was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 40th match minute, Varennes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf Boucher to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Rudy Cherry left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Varennes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Saul Villegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rudy Cherry stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Reynaldo Huetar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Cherry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Huetar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darron Godfrey in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Varennes's Rolf Boucher got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute, Graham Gareau reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Reynaldo Huetar. The goal made the score 0-5. 70 minutes into the game, Orlando Cordoba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAPRIMECKBEL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varennes the free kick. After 70 played minutes SAPRIMECKBEL got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Cordoba. SAPRIMECKBEL's Reynaldo Huetar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolf Boucher in the 75th minute of play. Tony Villeneuve could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Huetar made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Varennes's Lyman Peacock got a free kick in the 77th minute. Saul Villegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Huetar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudy Cherry in the 89th minute. In the 93rd minute of the match Greivin Soto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juste Reynolds skillfully saved the ball. Varennes played a much better game than SAPRIMECKBEL and deserved their victory. The SAPRIMECKBEL players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
