In the 4th minute, Thad Rocha made a precise shot to the right of Juste Reynolds. Varennes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Varennes's Arden Turner got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Darron Godfrey's late challenge caught a CLAYMORE COUNTRY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Darron Godfrey helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes, CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Fernando Washburn shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juste Reynolds came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CLAYMORE COUNTRY reached it. Owen McGinnis came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Varennes's Rudy Cherry. But to his dismay, Rudy Cherry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Owen McGinnis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Graham Gareau in the 26th minute. A collision led to CLAYMORE COUNTRY getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Nick English hit a great ball. Juste Reynolds took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thad Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Owen McGinnis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save CLAYMORE COUNTRY from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the match, CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goal looked a bit too open when Rudy Cherry came free, but Owen McGinnis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudy Cherry in the 44th minute of play forced CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goalkeeper Owen McGinnis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

After 53 minutes, Lucien Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CLAYMORE COUNTRY and the Varennes players grew even worse after the yellow card. 54 minutes into the match, Arden Turner notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Owen McGinnis. Owen McGinnis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Owen McGinnis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graham Gareau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Owen McGinnis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arden Turner, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Antione Lacroix was substituted for Neil Jacques. Tristan Lambert charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tristan Lambert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 68 played minutes Varennes got a freekick which was hit by Tristan Lambert. A hard shot 71 in the game by Thad Rocha from a close distance when the talented Juste Reynolds managed to make a qualified save. Varennes's players were relieved. After some careless play in the CLAYMORE COUNTRY defense, Rudy Cherry kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Owen McGinnis. The CLAYMORE COUNTRY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Owen McGinnis should have stopped the shot. Graham Gareau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Owen McGinnis having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Villeneuve in the 84th minute of play forced CLAYMORE COUNTRY's goalkeeper Owen McGinnis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Thad Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Joey Rainey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Varennes had played much better football throughout.
