After a rather tough play, Internacional Pechofrío's Mateo Tejero got a free kick in the 4th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Internacional Pechofrío's goalkeeper Erauso Espantoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miren Guilisasti. Elvis Nieto struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Erauso Espantoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U. de Tarapacá. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Gredilla in the 15th minute of play forced U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper Elton Tin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Gredilla came free, but Elton Tin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elton Tin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Venceslao Solares's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Ismael Irisarri charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ismael Irisarri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ismael Irisarri kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Leon Gredilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erauso Espantoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvis Nieto in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Elvis Nieto hit a great ball. Elton Tin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venceslao Solares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Venceslao Solares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elvis Nieto in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erauso Espantoso saved Internacional Pechofrío from getting behind. Miren Guilisasti in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Erauso Espantoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elvis Nieto to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Laureano Casanueva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U. de Tarapacá and the Internacional Pechofrío players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Laureano Casanueva got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Elton Tin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Tejero in the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the game, U. de Tarapacá's Ismael Irisarri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erauso Espantoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Erauso Espantoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvis Nieto in the 61st minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Elvis Nieto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U. de Tarapacá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvis Nieto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bartolomé Romero came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the U. de Tarapacá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartolomé Romero couldn't finish the play. Elvis Nieto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erauso Espantoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Tauro Tello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erauso Espantoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Internacional Pechofrío's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
