Zacarias Sana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Ponciano during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 played minutes Atletas Campesinos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Ponciano. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Angelo Ponciano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Ponciano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Sana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Atletas Campesinos F.C. booed when Sabaneta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Isidor couldn't finish the play. Sabaneta FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
