Curtis Yost made a great header on San Antonio HotSPURS's corner, it was just that Águilas Poblanas's Cornelio Mino managed to reach the ball for a save. Curtis Yost kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Moises Nisio struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Ollie Marshall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Águilas Poblanas. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mike Platt to strike the kick off in the second half. Ollie Marshall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Mateus in the 52nd minute of play. When Josef Joiner fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Antonio HotSPURS's protests and gave Josef Joiner a yellow card for diving instead. Josef Joiner kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Ollie Marshall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Chayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Águilas Poblanas booed when San Antonio HotSPURS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josef Joiner didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Guerau couldn't finish the play.
