The New England Minas fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when New England Minas's Javier Cahill looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Henry Reid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Cahill in the 13th minute of play. Bradly Gray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caleb Thayer in the 15th minute of play. Javier Cahill took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henry Reid. Henry Reid dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Henry Reid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dwayne Clement, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jacques Stovall took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henry Reid. Henry Reid dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 36 minutes into the match, Ocean Park Beach FC's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Cahill came free, but Henry Reid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Reid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dwayne Clement in the 43rd minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Javier Cahill was the one to do the kick off. Caleb Thayer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dwayne Clement's late challenge caught a Ocean Park Beach FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dwayne Clement helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Dwayne Clement. In the 60th minute Dwayne Clement shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Reid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caleb Thayer in the 69th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Bradly Gray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 minutes, Caleb Thayer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ocean Park Beach FC and the New England Minas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ocean Park Beach FC's Henry Reid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Ocean Park Beach FC from getting a goal against them.
