Noe Aballe was a little too slow when Virgilio Monico got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-6. When Virgilio Monico fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Águilas Poblanas's protests and gave Virgilio Monico a yellow card for diving instead. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
