The audience was convinced that Teofilo Barros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valiente Florez was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After 13 minutes, Poulus Pedraza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CSD Concepción and the Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes CSD Concepción got a freekick which was hit by Poulus Pedraza. Danilo Pinillas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Marcelo Arteche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Barros came free, but Valiente Florez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CSD Concepción's Marcelo Arteche proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save CSD Concepción from getting a goal against them. 0-1 became the score in the 31st minute when Teofilo Barros elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s Marcelo Arteche threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Danilo Pinillas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s zone, Teofilo Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valiente Florez came out of the goal and Teofilo Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Teofilo Barros made the kick off in the second half. Valiente Florez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teofilo Barros showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 57 minute of play. Marcelo Arteche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herena Rotges, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Santiago Macuer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valiente Florez. That made the score 0-3 in the 67 minute of play. Teofilo Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valiente Florez having to interfere. Eduard Novajas's late challenge caught a Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduard Novajas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, CSD Concepción's Eduard Novajas got a free kick in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herena Rotges in the 81st minute of play forced CSD Concepción's goalkeeper Marcelo Arteche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Poulus Pedraza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niceto Serrano during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th match minute, CSD Concepción was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niceto Serrano to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes Uηiση Aтℓεтιcσ Mαгαcαιвσ✈ got a freekick which was hit by Oliviero Mañon. Teofilo Barros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valiente Florez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
