In the 9th minute of the match, İdris Coşkun got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cafu Amaral was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Clodio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hudson de Godoi in the 11th minute of the match. Ege Onursoy received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cafu Amaral came out and tried to block the shot, but Ege Onursoy slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the game, POZANTI SPOR's Ege Onursoy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cafu Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. İdris Coşkun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cafu Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. If İdris Coşkun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF booed when POZANTI SPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doruk Ula didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 34 played minutes POZANTI SPOR got a freekick which was hit by Bayhan Uluman. İdris Coşkun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hudson de Godoi in the 45th minute of play forced POZANTI SPOR's goalkeeper Clodio Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, POZANTI SPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Bülent Vatansever to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ege Onursoy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute İdris Coşkun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute José Maria da Costa suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. POZANTI SPOR's Clodio Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save POZANTI SPOR from getting a goal against them. Ege Onursoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Cafu Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Ely hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Doruk Ula sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and LOS PERNAMBUCANOS - FDFDF's Cafu Amaral didn't even have to move. İdris Coşkun took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cafu Amaral. Cafu Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 89th minute Ege Onursoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
