But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Freitag couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Suwon Wanderers's goalkeeper Yan de Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prospero Benvido. Kaj Kruuse hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Anibal Cordoba came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Suwon Wanderers's Kaj Kruuse. But to his dismay, Kaj Kruuse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a rather tough play, Suwon Wanderers's Lóránt Vörös got a free kick in the 80th minute.
