The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Eby Abodunrin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tochi Oluwafemi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rameriz Montealegre came out and tried to block the shot, but Tochi Oluwafemi slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 37th minute. Esiquio Arrese succeeded in the game's 40th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-3. Tochi Oluwafemi's late challenge caught a Sangre Guaraní FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tochi Oluwafemi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Tochi Oluwafemi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Yoruba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Peruxu Gallegos came free, but Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Miro Varo. fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sangre Guaraní FC's protests and gave Miro Varo. a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sangre Guaraní FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Miro Varo. hit a great ball. The Yoruba FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sangre Guaraní FC were winning 2-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tochi Oluwafemi to strike the kick off in the second half. Eby Abodunrin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rameriz Montealegre having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sangre Guaraní FC's Miro Varo. got a free kick in the 57th minute. Rameriz Montealegre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Festus Owotoki in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Sangre Guaraní FC booed when Yoruba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ikedinachukwu Ekong didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Fresco Coyences shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sangre Guaraní FC's Rameriz Montealegre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Festus Owotoki in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Humberto Holgado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sangre Guaraní FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yoruba FC the free kick.
