Union Transvaal's Sizwe Bartlett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tochi Oluwafemi in the 7th minute of play. Sipho Tau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sizwe Bartlett was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Eby Abodunrin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eby Abodunrin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 21st minute Tochi Oluwafemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sizwe Bartlett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sipho Tau scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sipho Tau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo having to interfere. 28 minutes in the game Takalani Manyethela did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tristan Thaier. Sizwe Bartlett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Festus Owotoki in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Yoruba FC's Ime Sunday Erukpeme got a free kick in the 35th minute. Takalani Manyethela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tochi Oluwafemi in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sizwe Bartlett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. James Mandla kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute Chiazago Akinola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sizwe Bartlett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Yoruba FC's goalkeeper Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thami Klaasens. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eby Abodunrin in the 80th minute of play forced Union Transvaal's goalkeeper Sizwe Bartlett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Festus Owotoki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sizwe Bartlett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thami Klaasens's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Festus Owotoki struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Sizwe Bartlett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yoruba FC.
