When Nicodim Mangra came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Hidrocarburo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicodim Mangra couldn't finish the play. James Mandla kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Union Transvaal:s Sizwe Bartlett showed great skill when he stopped Mariano Valensuela:s penalty. After some careless play in the Union Transvaal defense, Mariano Valensuela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sizwe Bartlett. The Union Transvaal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sizwe Bartlett should have stopped the shot. Nicodim Mangra hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute of the match Hidrocarburo FC got a corner. Union Transvaal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Valensuela ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Hidrocarburo FC's corner Mariano Valensuela fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sizwe Bartlett quite easily take care of the ball. Nicodim Mangra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kauno Pirnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sipho Tau in the 23rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Hidrocarburo FC defense, Sipho Tau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kauno Pirnes. The Hidrocarburo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kauno Pirnes should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicodim Mangra in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sizwe Bartlett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maxwell Mbule kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Sizwe Bartlett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicodim Mangra went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Kauno Pirnes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sipho Tau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hidrocarburo FC's Nemesio Sol got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sizwe Bartlett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicodim Mangra's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 45thth minute of the game Nicodim Mangra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Union Transvaal's Sizwe Bartlett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th minute, James Mandla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nemesio Sol was the one to do the kick off. Sizwe Bartlett made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Nemesio Sol sent off a good shot on target. Sizwe Bartlett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicodim Mangra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Union Transvaal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Valensuela was slow to take the kick. During this time Hidrocarburo FC's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Hidrocarburo FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Nicodim Mangra hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Union Transvaal's goal looked a bit too open when Kahlil Suwandi came free, but Sizwe Bartlett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nemesio Sol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sizwe Bartlett having to interfere. Sizwe Bartlett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kahlil Suwandi in the 63rd minute of play. Kauno Pirnes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thami Klaasens in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Kahlil Suwandi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sizwe Bartlett. Kahlil Suwandi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Sizwe Bartlett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Mangra in the 71st minute of play. Kauno Pirnes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thami Klaasens, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Hidrocarburo FC's Kauno Pirnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thami Klaasens in the 74th minute of play. Nemesio Sol who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Sizwe Bartlett when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Union Transvaal's Sizwe Bartlett got control of the ball when Nemesio Sol tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sipho Tau in the 87th minute of play forced Hidrocarburo FC's goalkeeper Kauno Pirnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Union Transvaal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Takalani Manyethela in the 89th minute. When the final whistle sounded Hidrocarburo FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Union Transvaal.
