The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Union Transvaal's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Domenec came free, but Sizwe Bartlett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sizwe Bartlett was a little too slow when Amado Domenec got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 2-0. Eddie Hultman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Sizwe Bartlett when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 21st minute, Eddie Hultman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sizwe Bartlett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Domenec in the 25th minute of play. Eddie Hultman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sizwe Bartlett having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Union Transvaal's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Benvido came free, but Sizwe Bartlett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anibal Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sipho Tau, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 35th minute Amado Domenec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sizwe Bartlett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thami Klaasens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Union Transvaal's goalkeeper Sizwe Bartlett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddie Hultman.

When Thami Klaasens came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Union Transvaal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thami Klaasens couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Union Transvaal defense, Eddie Hultman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sizwe Bartlett. The Union Transvaal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sizwe Bartlett should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thami Klaasens in the 62nd minute of play forced Tiburones's goalkeeper Anibal Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Prospero Benvido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Eddie Hultman put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sizwe Bartlett. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Domenec in the 88th minute of play forced Union Transvaal's goalkeeper Sizwe Bartlett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Prospero Benvido managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tiburones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Benvido was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Tiburones's goal looked a bit too open when Sipho Tau came free, but Anibal Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiburones's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
