With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nemesio Sol in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo saved Yoruba FC from getting behind. 4 minutes into the match, Yoruba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Sol came free, but Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Mangra in the 7th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Yoruba FC got a freekick which was hit by Eby Abodunrin. Amos Fabiani took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo. Yoruba FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Yoruba FC's Ikedinachukwu Ekong got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute of the match Amos Fabiani sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Yoruba FC defense, Nicodim Mangra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo. The Yoruba FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo should have stopped the shot. Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Mangra in the 37th minute of play. With a little luck, Hidrocarburo FC's Kauno Pirnes got control of the ball when Festus Owotoki tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Nemesio Sol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo. Yoruba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nemesio Sol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 48th minute, Eby Abodunrin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nemesio Sol made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Nemesio Sol took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo to make any attempt to save it. Festus Owotoki's late challenge caught a Hidrocarburo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Festus Owotoki helped the player get up and apologised. Festus Owotoki hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Nicodim Mangra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo. The goal made the score 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Yoruba FC's zone, Nemesio Sol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo came out of the goal and Nemesio Sol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Hidrocarburo FC's Nemesio Sol. But to his dismay, Nemesio Sol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. With a little luck, Yoruba FC's Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo got control of the ball when Nemesio Sol tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kauno Pirnes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eby Abodunrin in the 83rd minute of play. Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nemesio Sol went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute, Tuure Tallqvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo. The goal made the score 0-7. Yoruba FC's Chukwudi Henry Odhiambo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Yoruba FC from getting a goal against them. Festus Owotoki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauno Pirnes having to interfere.
