In the 14th minute Joel Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyszko Leper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zoran Simović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olgierd Kowalski in the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, 17 de enero team's Keke Almeida got a free kick in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in 17 de enero team's zone, Olgierd Kowalski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zoran Simović came out of the goal and Olgierd Kowalski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoriano Iratzeder hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Olgierd Kowalski struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Zoran Simović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BYDGOSTIA. After 30 played minutes 17 de enero team got a freekick which was hit by Keke Almeida. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind 17 de enero team's goalkeeper Zoran Simović, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isidoro Isidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszko Leper having to interfere. A collision led to BYDGOSTIA getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Mariusz Warka hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as BYDGOSTIA's Olgierd Kowalski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zoran Simović. That made the score 1-0 after 46 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olgierd Kowalski was the one to do the kick off. BYDGOSTIA's Zbyszko Leper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save BYDGOSTIA from getting a goal against them. After 54 minutes of play, 17 de enero team's Victoriano Iratzeder made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zbyszko Leper was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Victoriano Iratzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute Olgierd Kowalski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoran Simović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Yu Ran Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the game, BYDGOSTIA's Nicklas Lindström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zoran Simović made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.
