When Monte Padilla fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tarboro FC's protests and gave Monte Padilla a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Tarboro FC got a freekick which was hit by Monte Padilla. Melchor Gorosti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dennis Galvan hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Froila in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Seth Schulz saved Tarboro FC from getting behind. A collision led to Tarboro FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Emerson Cervantes hit a great ball. Terrance Agostino struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Lajos Toldi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tarboro FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Froila in the 39th minute of play forced Tarboro FC's goalkeeper Seth Schulz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terrance Agostino in the 41st minute of play forced Millonarios's goalkeeper Lajos Toldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tarboro FC's zone, Elias Abancens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seth Schulz came out of the goal and Elias Abancens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the game, Carmelo Berenguer threw the ball into play from the sideline. Tarboro FC's Juan Dodge quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Lajos Toldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terrance Agostino in the 48th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flavio Phelipe made a kick off. If Terrance Agostino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Juan Dodge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Millonarios's Flavio Phelipe ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Seth Schulz. Seth Schulz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. 65 minutes into the game, Flavio Phelipe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Seth Schulz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 72 minutes, Melchor Gorosti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Millonarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melchor Gorosti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Melchor Gorosti came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Millonarios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melchor Gorosti couldn't finish the play. In the 78th match minute, Tarboro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Hoffman to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Froila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Seth Schulz was a little too slow when Elias Abancens got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 0-3. Benito Stephenson hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match.
