In the 18thth minute of the game Terrance Agostino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olhanense's Rui Reis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute, Angélico Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antero Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Seth Schulz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Terrance Agostino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Terrance Agostino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivo Tinoco took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Seth Schulz. Seth Schulz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Terrance Agostino in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Reis saved Olhanense from getting behind. Terrance Agostino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Rui Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Terrance Agostino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Reis having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Tarboro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Hoffman to maneuver through the defense. Seth Schulz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hildeberto Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antero Sarmento to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Tinoco in the 53rd minute of play forced Tarboro FC's goalkeeper Seth Schulz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Rui Reis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Tarboro FC booed when Olhanense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomé Lousada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tarboro FC's Dennis Galvan got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dennis Galvan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Reis having to interfere. If Monte Padilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes Olhanense got a freekick which was hit by Alcides Ventura. The crowd rose to their feet as Tarboro FC's Dennis Galvan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rui Reis. That made the score 1-3 after 80 minutes of play. A throw-in in the 88th minute of the game was made by Cristiano Diegues with Ivo Tinoco as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Sidónio Pires made in the 90th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ivo Tinoco immediately put the ball in play. Tarboro FC's Elliott Kyle got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Tarboro FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Olhanense.
