Nelsinho Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Hoffmann in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Moco SS's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Hoffmann came free, but Nelsinho Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelsinho Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Hílton de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th match minute, Galo Junior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. Nelsinho Machado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amadeu Hoffmann went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Moco SS's Evandro Nogueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hílton Munhoz. That made the score 1-1 after 22 minutes of play. Pedro Luiz Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, David Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jairo Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nelsinho Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Seco to make the kick off. The supporters of Galo Junior booed when Moco SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. If David Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeu Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Nelsinho Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Seco couldn't finish the play. Moco SS's Carlos Eduardo de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nelsinho Machado was a little too slow when Amadeu Hoffmann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 1-2. With a little luck, Moco SS's Nelsinho Machado got control of the ball when Amadeu Hoffmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Moco SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luiz Aparecido to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Galo Junior's Haroldo Camargo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Diamantino Xavier charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diamantino Xavier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd minute, Diamantino Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Carlos Eduardo de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Galo Junior's Amadeu Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Galo Junior could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Moco SS throughout the match.
