Olhanense's Rui Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Persson in the 19th minute of play. If Jan Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

A collision led to Olhanense getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Tomé Lousada hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antero Sarmento in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Stålman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 61 played minutes Simon Åberg rounded Olhanense's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claes Gerdberg during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antero Sarmento in the 66th minute of play forced Roknäs's goalkeeper Jan Stålman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antero Sarmento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard, long distance shot from João Lisboa flew over the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Ivo Tinoco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Jan Stålman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Antero Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jan Stålman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hubert Tingberg during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Olhanense booed when Roknäs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hubert Tingberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Alcides Ventura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olhanense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alcides Ventura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Olhanense's Sidónio Pires fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high.
