Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Antero Sarmento got the match started through his kick off. Valentin Renaudin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Renaudin, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Rui Reis had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Valentin Renaudin from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 27th minute, Valentin Renaudin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Valentin Renaudin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Defrou FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olhanense the free kick. After 30 played minutes Defrou FC got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Renaudin. Valentin Renaudin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Defrou FC's Eden Loison pulled a muscle in his back after 33 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Antero Sarmento charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antero Sarmento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Antero Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Antero Sarmento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mario Steinmetz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Valentin Renaudin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Lisboa hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, a hard, long distance shot from Valentin Renaudin hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valentin Renaudin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Defrou FC's Mario Steinmetz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antero Sarmento in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Olhanense booed when Defrou FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sabri Dubray didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Defrou FC's zone, Hildeberto Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mario Steinmetz came out of the goal and Hildeberto Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Defrou FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
