The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esbjörn Nordström during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kavaklidere FK booed when Roknäs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esbjörn Nordström didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 20 minutes on the clock, Esbjörn Nordström commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 19th minute, one of Roknäs:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Roknäs. In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Kavaklidere FK. Kadim Sevgen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jan Stålman. 1-0. In the 24th minute, Mats Hultstrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Kavaklidere FK's Süleyman Şenalp in the 28th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jan Stålman was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Roknäs through an amazing save. Jan Persson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Jan Persson sped through Kavaklidere FK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arif Bilge Başdaş. Jan Stålman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barış Öksak went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Roknäs's goalkeeper Jan Stålman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 43 minutes, Süleyman Şenalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kavaklidere FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Süleyman Şenalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Süleyman Şenalp to make the kick off. Jan Stålman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paşa Ispartalı went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Süleyman Şenalp hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the game, Kavaklidere FK's Süleyman Şenalp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan Stålman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Hubert Tingberg's late challenge caught a Kavaklidere FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hubert Tingberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes Roknäs got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Tingberg. Jan Stålman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Süleyman Şenalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 71st match minute, Kavaklidere FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barış Öksak to maneuver through the defense. Süleyman Şenalp scored 5-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Stålman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
