When Zygmunt Starogardzki came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the KS Tadeusz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zygmunt Starogardzki couldn't finish the play. Adrian Ahlkvist hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Konrad Tidéksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Konrad Tidéksson put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Stanislaw Karp. In the 17th minute, Hampus Lång hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zygmunt Starogardzki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esbjörn Alström having to interfere. Konrad Tidéksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, KS Tadeusz's goalkeeper Stanislaw Karp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvard Axelsson. After a defensive mix-up in Gästrike-hammarby's zone, Zygmunt Starogardzki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esbjörn Alström came out of the goal and Zygmunt Starogardzki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to KS Tadeusz getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Marian Frenzel hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Hampus Lång managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gästrike-hammarby's supporters rose to their feet, but Hampus Lång was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanislaw Karp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Konrad Tidéksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislaw Karp having to interfere. Esbjörn Alström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Przemyslaw Hetman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 45 minutes, Zygmunt Starogardzki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Tadeusz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zygmunt Starogardzki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Przemyslaw Hetman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Esbjörn Alström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zygmunt Starogardzki to make the kick off. After 53 minutes Gästrike-hammarby's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Boleslaw Wielowiejski who took care of the corner kick. Josef Askstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Esbjörn Alström made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Przemyslaw Hetman sent off a good shot on target. Stanislaw Karp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edvard Axelsson's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Edvard Axelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Stanislaw Karp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Gästrike-hammarby's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Starogardzki came free, but Esbjörn Alström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zbyszek Frodyma charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zbyszek Frodyma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gästrike-hammarby's Robert Walroth got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KS Tadeusz eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
