Kiattirat Choonama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Banaszak, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Roland Banaszak scored 0-7 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kiattirat Choonama, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Darwin Núñez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Kiattirat Choonama when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kiattirat Choonama made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darwin Núñez in the 56th minute. This resulted in a 0-10 score and a disappointed Kiattirat Choonama as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roland Banaszak got free with Kiattirat Choonama in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Roland Banaszak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merengue FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
