Marjus Laçka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vuk Urgovski in the 19th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Vuk Urgovski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marjus Laçka was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Vibar Vërçuni hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Albania were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Macedonia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ilmi Duka took the corner. Ilmi Duka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Spase Kastrati made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ilmi Duka ran back to his position shaking his head. Macedonia's Barjet Mirkovski was substituted for Artan Topalovski. Macedonia made a substitution. Jakov Bundev replaced Vuk Urgovski. After 72 minutes Macedonia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ilmi Duka who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Ilmi Duka almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Macedonia's Spase Kastrati did a great save. 74 minutes into the match, Macedonia's goal looked a bit too open when Ilmi Duka came free, but Spase Kastrati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Macedonia's Spase Kastrati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilmi Duka in the 77th minute of play. With his leg Marjus Laçka managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Macedonia's Jakov Bundev fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Albania's Përparim Bajraktari got a free kick in the 80th minute. The supporters of Albania booed when Macedonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samir Kastrati didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilmi Duka took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Spase Kastrati. Macedonia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ilmi Duka hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Marjus Dragoti hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Macedonia were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Albania's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vidoe Gegovski took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Vidoe Gegovski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marjus Laçka quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Paolo Mut hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Lefter Trpev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Marjus Laçka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
