Herblay's Ludomil Kajdasz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Bagge in the 15th minute of play. Piotr Furgat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonin Dagorne went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Léon Monnet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Piotr Furgat having to interfere. Piotr Furgat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonin Dagorne in the 24th minute of play. If Lars Bagge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cesinha Vargas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ludomil Kajdasz was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 34th minute, Antonin Dagorne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Piotr Furgat was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 37 minutes into the match, Herblay's goal looked a bit too open when Junior Quintana came free, but Ludomil Kajdasz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute of the match, Cesinha Vargas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ludomil Kajdasz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Antonin Dagorne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Herblay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Herblay had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
