Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Invictus FC's Sean Mallecots started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 minutes of play, Invictus FC's Sean Mallecots made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guy Durant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gerardo Abeitias short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Eddy Stoorms to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Emanuel Lundgren struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Guy Durant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Invictus FC. After 20 played minutes Invictus FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafet Şikel. Eddy Stoorms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slaveyko Grúbchev in the 20th minute of the match. Eddy Stoorms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Abeitia in the 24th minute of play. After some careless play in the Invictus FC defense, Anatol Hönes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eddy Stoorms. The Invictus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eddy Stoorms should have stopped the shot. Guy Durant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sean Mallecots, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. A collision led to Invictus FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Maxwell van Beek hit a great ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Guy Durant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Lyon 69ers's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Mallecots came free, but Guy Durant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anatol Hönes to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Mallecots in the 56th minute of play forced Lyon 69ers's goalkeeper Guy Durant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Invictus FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rafet Şikel in the 57th minute. Rafet Şikel made a great header on Invictus FC's corner, it was just that Lyon 69ers's Guy Durant managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 60th minute, Sean Mallecots left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Invictus FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 65th minute, Sean Mallecots ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guy Durant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Emanuel Lundgren hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. A collision led to Invictus FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Octave Hendrickx hit a great ball. In the 74th minute of the match Slaveyko Grúbchev shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eddy Stoorms showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sean Mallecots in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guy Durant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute Gerardo Abeitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Stoorms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eddy Stoorms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anatol Hönes in the 87th minute of play. Invictus FC's Octaaf Van der Meiren was substituted for Alexander Hendrickx. After 90 played minutes Lyon 69ers got a freekick which was hit by Reynald Baillou. Sean Mallecots's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guy Durant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Octaaf Van der Meiren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
