In the 4th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Ramos to maneuver through the defense. If Gilberto Izel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roch Cieslak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Izel in the 15th minute. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Luck's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Enrique Rozarius was slow to take the kick. During this time La Scaloneta's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Enrique Rozarius almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Luck's Roch Cieslak did a great save. Narcis Voinescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Moscatelli having to interfere. Claudiu Arotăriței kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcis Voinescu in the 27th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Franco Moscatelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Izel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roch Cieslak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Franco Moscatelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narcis Voinescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sever Patriciu made a kick off. Franco Moscatelli made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Narcis Voinescu sent off a good shot on target. Roch Cieslak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Izel in the 58th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Luck's zone, Gilberto Izel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roch Cieslak came out of the goal and Gilberto Izel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Narcis Voinescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Franco Moscatelli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 67thth minute of the game Gilberto Izel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Luck's Roch Cieslak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Gilberto Izel put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Roch Cieslak. In the 70th minute of the match FC Luck got a corner. La Scaloneta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Narcis Voinescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to FC Luck's Niculae Mercescu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Gilberto Izel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Polat Aranda got a free kick in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Luck's zone, Enrique Rozarius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roch Cieslak came out of the goal and Enrique Rozarius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Nicanor Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Narcis Voinescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Luck's supporters rose to their feet, but Narcis Voinescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Moscatelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Luck's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
