After a defensive mix-up in KINGS FC's zone, Kevan Brossier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leal Simões came out of the goal and Kevan Brossier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th minute, Jānis Blūms ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dilan Bobet was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Chaponnay FC's attentive Bruno Ziani managed to snatch the ball when Arias Navas made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. Dilan Bobet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Calçada in the 14th minute of play. Kevan Brossier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chaponnay FC's Dilan Bobet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jānis Blūms in the 19th minute of play. Cássio Calçada took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dilan Bobet. Dilan Bobet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Arias Navas made in the 29th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jānis Blūms. Dilan Bobet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Calçada in the 31st minute of the match. KINGS FC's Leal Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Rannou in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Zoltán Tálas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dilan Bobet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chaponnay FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cássio Calçada was slow to take the kick. During this time KINGS FC's players had a chance to rest. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arthur Rannou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Chaponnay FC got a freekick which was hit by Kevan Brossier. Dilan Bobet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zoltán Tálas in the 55th minute of play. After 59 minutes Chaponnay FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cássio Calçada who took care of the corner kick. In the 61st minute, Stéphane Eynard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chaponnay FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jānis Blūms 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4.
