The supporters of Juventus F.C. booed when Elegance Dijon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thierry Agnel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dave Rinaldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessio Punta in the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Alessio Punta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Elegance Dijon getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Thierry Agnel hit a great ball. With a little luck, Juventus F.C.'s Eugenio Lorenzi got control of the ball when Christian Minaud tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bryan Krafft kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Dave Rinaldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Punta, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Louis Tomlinson fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juventus F.C.'s protests and gave Louis Tomlinson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, Juventus F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Tomlinson to maneuver through the defense. Dave Rinaldi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alessio Punta went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 27 minutes into the match, Juventus F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Stéphane Gaudy came free, but Eugenio Lorenzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Thierry Agnel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Lorenzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stéphane Gaudy in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugenio Lorenzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Juventus F.C.'s Alessio Punta in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elegance Dijon's goalie prevented a goal. Juventus F.C.'s Eugenio Lorenzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thierry Agnel in the 40th minute of play. Dave Rinaldi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessio Punta in the 43rd minute of the match. If Louis Tomlinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Louis Tomlinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabien Cantin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabien Cantin in the 53rd minute of play forced Juventus F.C.'s goalkeeper Eugenio Lorenzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Juventus F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Dave Rinaldi came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Juventus F.C.'s Wiktor Napierkowski. But to his dismay, Wiktor Napierkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Dave Rinaldi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Montanari in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Juventus F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Christian Minaud came free, but Eugenio Lorenzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudio Caniggia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dave Rinaldi. That made the score 0-5 in the 89 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Montanari in the 93rd minute of play forced Elegance Dijon's goalkeeper Dave Rinaldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlo Montanari had several of the Elegance Dijon's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 94 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Dave Rinaldi as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Juventus F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
