In the 36th minute of the match FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt got a corner. PoznanGalaxy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrei Brănescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Andrei Brănescu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PoznanGalaxy's Henning Heringer did a great save. If Peter Grommers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Lechințan in the 46th minute of play forced PoznanGalaxy's goalkeeper Henning Heringer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
