In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gep FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Nardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dino Roberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonello Bartolomucci in the 18th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dino Gazza got free with Cornelio Nardo in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Villadeatese FC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Villadeatese FC's Zabal Villanueva looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Dino Roberto made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Antonello Bartolomucci sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute, Alberto Maranhense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antonello Bartolomucci received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dino Roberto came out and tried to block the shot, but Antonello Bartolomucci slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zabal Villanueva in the 92nd minute of play forced Gep FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Nardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernesto Scevola in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornelio Nardo saved Gep FC from getting behind. Gep FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Villadeatese FC had won, even though Gep FC had held more of the ball.
