Low Cost FC's Julian Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hannes Ström in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute Baldomiro Fernanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Low Cost FC's Julian Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Granberg in the 5th minute of play. Gösta Granberg scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julian Elizardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olle Tunander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Lorenz in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Low Cost FC booed when VfL Wolfsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marouane Kiefer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hannes Ström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Julian Elizardo made a huge save. Olle Tunander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaspar Veremundo's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Lorenz in the 23rd minute of play forced VfL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Olle Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes VfL Wolfsburg got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Albom. Olle Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomiro Fernanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Olle Tunander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Fernanco in the 26th minute of play. In the 35th minute, VfL Wolfsburg's Carlos Valderrama seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carlos Valderrama the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of VfL Wolfsburg protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carlos Valderrama had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in VfL Wolfsburg fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
