With a little luck, Salud y República's Juan Carlos Suciu got control of the ball when Kraig Fred tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kraig Fred's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Carlos Suciu was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Salud y República's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Szymon Pilitowski was slow to take the kick. During this time Estudiantes de América's players had a chance to rest. In the 18th minute, Estudiantes de América's Saverio Iraitz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Juan Carlos Suciu came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de América's Kraig Fred. But to his dismay, Kraig Fred quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 35th minute Kraig Fred shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Suciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Ranolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reyes No, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Ranolfo came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Salud y República's Reyes No. But to his dismay, Reyes No quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Kert Roolaid hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Kraig Fred received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Juan Carlos Suciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kraig Fred was the one to do the kick off. Kraig Fred fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Carlos Suciu having to interfere. If Kraig Fred had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute Kraig Fred shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Suciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo got control of the ball when Reyes No tried to sneak it across the goal line. Estudiantes de América made a substitution.
