Ermegildo Matxin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taisto Pentsinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Manchester United FC's Eero Uusipaavalniemi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ermegildo Matxin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eero Uusipaavalniemi in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ermegildo Matxin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edwin van der Sar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Venancio Santos went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 37th minute Taisto Pentsinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Matxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eero Uusipaavalniemi in the 40th minute of play forced BAC Belgrano de Cba's goalkeeper Ermegildo Matxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eero Uusipaavalniemi in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ermegildo Matxin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Manchester United FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin van der Sar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iiro Riksman hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Eero Uusipaavalniemi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ermegildo Matxin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, BAC Belgrano de Cba's Ermegildo Matxin got control of the ball when Valdemar Kuoppala tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edwin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Santos in the 90th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Manchester United FC's Ermegildo Matxin threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Davide Beckham, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lucjan Jaroszewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Manchester United FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
