Herb Good showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Botasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Collin Grimm got free with Manolis Ntouvaris in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 15 minutes Sport Lisboa e Benfica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thanos Kolokithopoulos who took care of the corner kick. Thanos Kolokithopoulos made a great header on Drafi's corner, it was just that Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean Britton got free with Manolis Ntouvaris in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24thth minute of the game Soulis Felegakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jean Britton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manolis Ntouvaris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Edgard Elssen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Herb Good was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Trey Easley came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trey Easley couldn't finish the play. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Malinovský in the 41st minute of play. If Edgard Elssen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Soulis Felegakis to make the kick off. Herb Good made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Botasso in the 53rd minute. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Soulis Felegakis 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Drafi made a substitution. Chatziioannou Stavrakos replaced Cristian Botasso. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Herb Good, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jean Britton in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manolis Ntouvaris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jean Britton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Herb Good took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chatziioannou Stavrakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manolis Ntouvaris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Britton in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Drafi getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Patricio Jesus hit a great ball. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Barış Birsoy took a good shot, in the 90th minute, which hit the crossbar above Manolis Ntouvaris's head, and flew over the goal. Drafi's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Sport Lisboa e Benfica. After 94 played minutes Drafi got a freekick which was hit by Onuralp Talu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Takis Chatzigiannis during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Drafi's Takis Chatzigiannis got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Drafi's performance. The match ended with a win for Drafi.
