Damaso Alonso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Stipe Pletikosa made a huge save. 8 minutes into the match, Fortuna 86 Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Zárate came free, but Stipe Pletikosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Fortuna 86 Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Margiris Nekrošius came free, but Stipe Pletikosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zacisze Częstochowa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yin Sen Quan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Miroslaw Gollob showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from István Markos, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute István Markos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslaw Gollob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damaso Alonso got free with Stipe Pletikosa in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Dariusz Cerocki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when István Markos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Zacisze Częstochowa getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Gonzalo Firme hit a great ball. István Markos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miroslaw Gollob having to interfere. Skapti Škarpa hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Fortuna 86 Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Jurand Cempa came free, but Stipe Pletikosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stipe Pletikosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Alonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Harun Mengüer came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Fortuna 86 Szczecin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harun Mengüer couldn't finish the play. Zacisze Częstochowa made a substitution. Przemyslaw Maldini replaced Gonzalo Firme. Stipe Pletikosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jurand Cempa in the 69th minute of the match. Fortuna 86 Szczecin's Stipe Pletikosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurand Cempa in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute of the match, Stig-Åke Rosendahl got a very nice opportunity to score, but Miroslaw Gollob was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Zacisze Częstochowa's Miroslaw Gollob proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Zacisze Częstochowa from getting a goal against them. Stig-Åke Rosendahl kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Jurand Cempa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stipe Pletikosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 90th minute Jurand Cempa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stipe Pletikosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91stth minute of the game Jurand Cempa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fortuna 86 Szczecin's Stipe Pletikosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st minute, Margiris Nekrošius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miroslaw Gollob was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Yin Sen Quan. The Zacisze Częstochowa support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
