Virgilio Tulio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Pål Nyman made a huge save. After 13 minutes, Kristoffer Albom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Matrei FC and the Roma FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute, Kristoffer Albom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Göransson in the 18th minute of play forced Roma FC's goalkeeper Leandro Breyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Patrick Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pål Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Göransson hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Gualterio Abastas charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Tulio couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Virgilio Tulio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Patrick Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Isac Björk fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Matrei FC's protests and gave Isac Björk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Roma FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Rico to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgilio Tulio to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Isac Björk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Pål Nyman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Vander in the 96th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
