Gianluca Lapadula took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gervásio Sousa. Gervásio Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gervásio Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gianluca Lapadula's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Gianluca Lapadula sped through Atlético Micaelense's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gervásio Sousa. Gervásio Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cankut Urgun, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Jerzy Dudek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Palmiro Bettencourt in the 16th minute. Jerzy Dudek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Palmiro Bettencourt in the 20th minute of the match. With a little luck, KS Bukowe's Jerzy Dudek got control of the ball when Klaus Van Mellart tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gianluca Lapadula's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gervásio Sousa was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Gervásio Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Lapadula in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, one of KS Bukowe:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Palmiro Bettencourt shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 33 minutes into the game, Stanislao Kuparinen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Gervásio Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the game, KS Bukowe's Gianluca Lapadula nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gervásio Sousa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Gianluca Lapadula blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gervásio Sousa having to make a save. Palmiro Osório kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Palmiro Bettencourt was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, KS Bukowe's goal looked a bit too open when Klaus Van Mellart came free, but Jerzy Dudek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Lu Chen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Dudek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Atlético Micaelense's Klaus Van Mellart got a free kick in the 68th minute. Gervásio Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianluca Lapadula in the 73rd minute of the match. Gianluca Lapadula recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atlético Micaelense's Geraldo Madureira was substituted for Vítor Resende. 80 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's goal looked a bit too open when Gianluca Lapadula came free, but Gervásio Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gianluca Lapadula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gervásio Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianluca Lapadula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gervásio Sousa was a little too slow when Gianluca Lapadula got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 0-5. 87 minutes into the match, Atlético Micaelense's goal looked a bit too open when Gianluca Lapadula came free, but Gervásio Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético Micaelense's Gervásio Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianluca Lapadula in the 93rd minute of play. Atlético Micaelense's Gervásio Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Micaelense from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle went the supporters of KS Bukowe were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Atlético Micaelense side.
