If Gustavo Birila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Papillon AC's Astor Chinto got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Laion Social Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tümer Hünkar in the 41st minute. After 46 minutes, Jerold Azpilcueta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laion Social Club and the Papillon AC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Laion Social Club getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jerold Azpilcueta hit a great ball. In the 48th minute of the match Gustavo Birila shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bazkoare Respaldiza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gustavo Birila made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Birila in the 56th minute of play forced Laion Social Club's goalkeeper Bazkoare Respaldiza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bazkoare Respaldiza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Birila in the 60th minute of play.
