Agostinho Moura lost his temper 12 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Paralia Athens getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Agostinho Moura hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Blåvitt's Stefan Eriksson tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Gösta Lundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blåvitt's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stefan Eriksson in the 22nd minute. After taking down the ball on Blåvitt's corner Stefan Eriksson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Virgil Olariu quite easily take care of the ball. In the 30th match minute, Paralia Athens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Romeo to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Virgil Olariu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Örjan Johansson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Örjan Johansson got free with Virgil Olariu in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Blåvitt getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jesper Burman hit a great ball. Vicente Ibio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Mike Cassar Torreggiani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gösta Lundberg to make the kick off. Virgil Olariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Valler in the 51st minute of play. Mike Cassar Torreggiani made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Vicente Ibio sent off a good shot on target. If Örjan Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodor Romeo hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gösta Lundberg in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgil Olariu saved Paralia Athens from getting behind. After 62 minutes, Gösta Lundberg made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Paralia Athens's Virgil Olariu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 64th minute, Michel Lundberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Paralia Athens booed when Blåvitt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Lundberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Paralia Athens getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Vasile Enciulescu hit a great ball. Virgil Olariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Lundberg in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Paralia Athens's zone, Gösta Lundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgil Olariu came out of the goal and Gösta Lundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Virgil Olariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albin Valler in the 80th minute of the match. Gelu Beșliu hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute Stefan Eriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Olariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Paralia Athens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Beșliu to maneuver through the defense. Virgil Olariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Lundberg in the 90th minute of the match.
