In the 5th minute, Petter Skarkman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zein Tutupoli. The goal made the score 1-0. Zein Tutupoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petter Skarkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petter Skarkman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zein Tutupoli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. When Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bolo Skjold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geronimo Berenguer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Zein Tutupoli managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 34th minute of the match Protegéerna got a corner. Gaviotas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Michael Näver ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bolo Skjold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Lihach in the 40th minute of play. Protegéerna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Michael Näver in the 46th minute. The corner led Protegéerna's Michael Näver to fire away a dangerous shot which Zein Tutupoli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ariel Lihach stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Gaviotas FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Damian Musko hit a great ball. 53 minutes into the match, Gaviotas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Skarkman came free, but Zein Tutupoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
