Lukáš Katačić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anko Anko having to interfere. Florida Gulf Coast's Luis Nardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Hondo in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garchofila FC's goalkeeper Anko Anko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. John James kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Anko Anko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lukáš Katačić's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Garchofila FC's Gervasio Hondo got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The throw-in from Diego Bittor in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Florida Gulf Coast's Lukáš Katačić. In the 15th minute of the game Diego Bittor made a throw-in which Adrian Pătrășcanu played forward. With a little luck, Florida Gulf Coast's Luis Nardo got control of the ball when Kirstein Frydkjær tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kirstein Frydkjær got free with Luis Nardo in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luis Nardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Gizon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Nardo made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Roman Arlo sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute, Sixto Bitxintxo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Florida Gulf Coast's zone, Kirstein Frydkjær stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Nardo came out of the goal and Kirstein Frydkjær tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roman Arlo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Luis Nardo made a huge save. Roman Arlo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Luis Nardo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Florida Gulf Coast booed when Garchofila FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Hondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julian Budacz during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, one of Garchofila FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Garchofila FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Nicanor Oliveiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anko Anko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After 55 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by John James. After having played for 56 minutes, Gervasio Hondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garchofila FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Hondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute, Lisandro Gizon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when William Tasso came free, but Luis Nardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 minutes Florida Gulf Coast's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Julian Budacz who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Julian Budacz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Florida Gulf Coast's Luis Nardo did a great save. In the 66th match minute, Florida Gulf Coast was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John James to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Arlo in the 67th minute of play forced Florida Gulf Coast's goalkeeper Luis Nardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anko Anko made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Steve Rogers sent off a good shot on target. Nicanor Oliveiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garchofila FC made a substitution. Mateo Berbiz replaced Kirstein Frydkjær. Anko Anko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicanor Oliveiro in the 78th minute. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Florida Gulf Coast's goalkeeper Luis Nardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Roman Arlo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Nardo was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. 92 minutes into the game, Garchofila FC's Mateo Berbiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luis Nardo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 95 minutes into the match, Garchofila FC's goalkeeper Anko Anko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicanor Oliveiro. For all the effort they put into the match, the Florida Gulf Coast players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Garchofila FC.
