Abdessalem Abdessalam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lukáš Katačić to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Bitxintxo. Abdessalem Abdessalam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukáš Katačić in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Adab FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. John James was slow to take the kick. During this time Florida Gulf Coast's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukáš Katačić in the 60th minute of play forced Adab FC's goalkeeper Abdessalem Abdessalam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Adab FC's zone, Lukáš Katačić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdessalem Abdessalam came out of the goal and Lukáš Katačić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's Lukáš Katačić sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdessalem Abdessalam narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abdessalem Abdessalam was left in no man's land by his defense there! Many of Adab FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Adab FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Florida Gulf Coast were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
